April 17, 2008: Bishop International Airport – Flint, Michigan

My job requires that I travel a lot around the country and I have seen dozens and dozens of airports : Detroit (and the Hippie tunnel), Minneapolis (Snoopy & Woodstock), Dallas (Prez Bush statue), Atlanta, Los Angeles (John Wayne statue), Chicago, Denver, Jackson MS, Memphis TN and others I cannot remember.

Of all the airports Flint is the best – and that is not just me saying this. While I wait for the plane I will hear other passengers comment on the layout of the Flint airport just because everything is well laid out and everything in the terminal is right there and easy to find. Such as when you get off the plane, your baggage and rental car are all right there in one spot. You don’t have to go from one concourse to get your luggage and another concourse to get your rental car. Everything you need is in one place – you’re not all shuffled around.

Also while chit chatting with fellow passengers I find that some travel from Detroit to use the Flint airport because it is easier to get around with the parking / shuttle / passenger drop off, and the cost is usually a lot lower to fly out of Flint than other airports.

So to the folks at Bishop Airport – good job!!!!

April 17, 2008: Love the Website and Love the City of Flint

Really, you guys are right on. I am always trying to convince people
that Flint is awesome. I am seriously counting the days when I can
sell my house in Swartz Creek and buy in Flint. Did you see that PBS documentary "Where do
the children play?" It turns out that Flint is better than the suburbs for children.
